The August 17 auction has a stellar selection of advertising items that have come to the market by means of a couple of different private collections. Included in these collections are a very nice selection of Coca-Cola and advertising tins. Some of the key Coca-Cola items include beautiful trays from 1920, 1922, 1926, 1928 and 1931. The tin collection also consists of some rare and desirable coffee, tobacco and peanut tins.
Figural cast iron collectors get ready to bid on the nice assortment of over 70 lots of doorknockers, bookends and doorstops with most in beautiful condition. Some of the cast iron highlights would include a Morning Glory doorknocker, a Butterfly Doorknocker, a Lighthouse Doorstop and numerous Scottie Dog Doorstops.
Featuring a great selection of still and mechanical banks the August 17 auction offers a Two-faced Devil, Santa with Tree, Transvaal Money Box, and a mint example of a Home Bank with Crown. Most of the banks are from an old collection. The mechanical bank grouping includes a beautiful original example of the Bad Accident, Jonah & The Whale and Home Bank.
The latter part of the sale consists of a nice assortment of general and decorative antiques. The general antiques and decorative antiques include 12 samplers, clocks and over 30 pieces of Bakelite jewelry.
